In 1940 owing to food restrictions, the Piccadilly Hotel was not able to cater for Masonic Meetings and the meetings were held from from then until 1947 at the Rembrandt Hotel, Kensington.

During the war owing to many Brethren being on Active and National Service, Offices had to be filled. Many members were confronted with rapid advancement which was readily accepted. On no occassion was the activity of the Lodge cancelled and no no meetings were postponed, the management of the Lodge was conducted without interruption.
