Make new friendships, develop yourself and make a positive contribution to society…

“When I was a teenager, I used to accompany a girlfriend of mine to her father’s Ladies Nights. In those days they were really grand affairs. Once I was in my twenties, I became curious as to really what was Freemasonry.
After discussions with my friends father, I decided to approach him to put my name forward to join his Lodge. When I mentioned this to a client of mine, he asked if I would join his Lodge as the age of the membership was younger. In 1984, I was interviewed and in December 1985, Initiated into this Lodge and Freemasonry.
I have never looked back, made many friends and have realised that Freemasonry is really putting the tools used by the builders of the Temple of King Solomon into morals of everyday life.
I am now the Secretary of the Lodge and even though the work is hard and I am not the best ritualist, I enjoy every minute of being a member of this friendly and charitable organisation. In life, one only gets out of anything what they put in.”

“I was attracted to the Lodge because Norwood is a charity close to my heart. Over the years, I have come to really enjoy the genuine camaraderie of members. Some have become firm friends who I would be only too happy to help when needed and I feel sure it would be reciprocated – genuine fraternal feelings.
We all work hard at what we do in the Lodge but all benefit personally from striving to do our bit as best we can. We try to be supportive of each other in our Endeavours!”
