The Malcolm Hart Foundation

20th February 2019

Dear Alan and the Members of the Lodge

On behalf of the trustees of the Malcolm Hart Foundation, I want to thank you very much for the very generous cheque we have received from you as a result of two Alms collections, in Malcolm’s memory.  I am very touched by your good thoughts and your honouring of my darling husband.

We are fundraising to build Quiet Rooms in ICU firstly at Hammersmith Hospital and then at all hospitals where this facility is lacking.  This is not something the NHS budget would stretch to, but I believe it is of vital importance for loved ones who are frightened and worried to have somewhere quiet and safe to go when visiting sick family members. These rooms will be named after my dear Malcolm.  Hopefully work will be able to start soon, although the NHS does not work very speedily.  We are doing so well in our fundraising, and we are so grateful for your interest and investment in helping us achieve our first goal.  The MHF will continue to fund-raise for other relevant projects.  Our wish and desire is to keep Malcolm’s name alive so that we never forget him, and we feel that in some way his untimely passing was not in vain.

With very best wishes

Ros Hart
Chair of The Malcolm Hart Foundation
